Flexiv to Offer Exclusive Preview of Next-Generation Robots at ICRA

First-look demonstration showcases breakthroughs in whole-body touch sensitivity ahead of a commercial Q3 2026 launch, anchored by an expert industry keynote address.

SANTA CLARA, CA – May 27, 2026 – Flexiv, a global leader in general-purpose robotics, today announced it will host an exclusive preview of its next-generation robotics portfolio at the International Conference on Robotics and Automation (ICRA), taking place June 1–5 in Vienna, Austria.

At Hall B, Booth 130, visitors will get a behind-the-scenes glimpse of two groundbreaking robotic platforms ahead of their international launch later this year. Flexiv is using the event to demonstrate the core architecture and technical capabilities of its new lineup, showcasing new benchmarks in tactile intelligence and modular adaptability.

"ICRA is the premier global forum for the world's most transformative robotics research and development," said Thomas Zandes, Flexiv's Sales Director for Europe. "Because this community deeply understands the engineering complexities of human-robot interaction, it's the ideal venue to share an early look at our latest technology. We want the industry's leading minds to see firsthand how we are redefining sensitivity, intelligence, and modular adaptability ahead of our official market launch."

The early-access viewing at the Flexiv booth will highlight two interconnected breakthroughs redefining manipulation and mobility.

Heading the new lineup is a next-generation, force-controlled, touch-sensitive robotic arm designed for complex, human-centric environments. Featuring seven degrees of freedom and advanced whole-body touch sensitivity, it delivers superior sensing capabilities in a compact form factor without sacrificing dexterity. Notably, four of its axes support full 720-degree rotation, offering outstanding agility in constrained spaces.

The second is a highly customizable modular robot platform that demonstrates the scalability of the new Flexiv ecosystem. The system mounts two of the 7-DOF tactile arms onto a specialized torso and can be fitted with a computer vision-enabled head, a force-sensitive waist, and an integrated Autonomous Mobile Robot base for full autonomy and deployment flexibility.

In addition to the technology preview, Flexiv will contribute directly to the academic and industry dialogue at the conference.

Shuyun Chung, Flexiv’s Chief Robotics Scientist, will deliver an industry keynote address on June 3 at 9:30 AM. His presentation, titled "Bridging the Last Millimeter in ContactRich Manipulation," will dive deep into the control theory and sensor integration required to make high-degree-of-freedom robots safely collaborative in tight, unpredictable, and human-centric workspaces.

This presentation will provide the vital theoretical framework behind the exact robots showcased at the Flexiv booth.
