The UX Design Award team stated that:
“Design is about improving people’s lives. We believe that good people-centered design can deliver on this promise because it is informed by the aims, wishes, and emotions of real people. The UX Design Awards reflect this by honoring products, services, and concepts that provide better outcomes and meaningful solutions for real needs – effectively creating positive change.”
Flexiv shares this commitment to people-centered design, both in hardware and software. Flexiv’s Lead Solutions Designer Xuesen Li, said:
“People-centered design is paramount to Flexiv, as it empowers an end-user to have a better, more organic experience. We make robots and robotic software, but our people-centered design grounds every one of our offerings with a touch of humanity that is instantly recognizable. From our human-inspired Rizon arms to our user interfaces which form the crossroads between technology and humanity, a creation without people-centered design is merely a product; a creation with it is a solution.”
If you believe in the importance of good design, we would like your support in helping Flexiv Elements win the recognition it deserves. A critical part of the competition is the Public Choice Award, where the public can cast their votes for their favorite nominee.

Flexiv Adds Cardinal to Its Flock of System Integrators to Combat Labor Bottlenecks

SAN JOSE, CA, April 11th, 2023---Flexiv, a world leader in general-purpose robotics solutions, has developed a fully automatic massaging application for its Rizon 4 robot.
Powered by artificial intelligence, computer vision, and force feedback, the robot can provide a massage equal to any human masseur.
Able to target specific areas of the back or larger areas in general, the robot's soft silicone massage tool can accurately emulate the deep-pressure glide stroke commonly used in Tui Na, or as it is more widely known, Chinese deep tissue massage.
With a world-class force sensitivity of 0.03 newtons, 3D computer vision integration, and a proprietary AI system, Flexiv's masseur can automatically adjust itself so it always provides an optimum massage experience.
By making the robot able to sense its environment via touch and sight, Flexiv's massage application is not only absolutely safe, but it can provide customized massages to people of all shapes and sizes on an automatic basis.

These massages will also always be of the highest quality, as the robot will never tire, become distracted, or suffer from an injury. This guarantees consistency and eliminates the variability in skills often found between human masseurs.
Yunfan Gao, Flexiv's Marketing Director, stated: "We believe that robotics will play an intrinsic part of everyday life in the future, democratizing access to services that are currently cost-prohibitive. I hope that one day our robotic masseur will be on hand in every clinic, spa, gym, and health club to provide a viable alternative to traditional massages."
He added, "We aim to make robotic massage mainstream and, in the process, reduce its cost while increasing its availability. People think nothing of buying food or drink from a vending machine, and we hope they will think the same way about purchasing a robotic massage."
Flexiv is pioneering the implementation of robotics into multiple industries and constantly developing new ways to make automation work for humanity.
